In our technical teams, you’ll collaborate with specialists in brand change, science and technology, safety, quality, environmental sustainability, and governance. Over the course of the programme this will develop depth of knowledge while also broadening experience. You will be given increasing levels of accountability from independently leading small projects to leading a large portfolio of projects.
Your mission is to innovate and grow while safeguarding our people, brands, and the environment. You’ll develop tomorrow’s product pipelines for some of the world’s most beloved brands like Johnnie Walker, Guinness, Captain Morgan, Baileys, and Tanqueray. By translating insights into actionable ideas and visions, you’ll shape the future of our brands—putting them at the heart of celebrations everywhere.
What to Expect
Year 1: Gain an understanding of the fundamentals within the broader Global Technical function. With rotations like Laboratory & Process Development Specialist, Compliance & Governance Specialist or Project Manager.
Year 2: Broaden your experience by gaining functional diversity across Global Technical areas. Work on medium‑scale projects supporting team initiatives with rotations such as Pack Specialists or Category Project Manager.
Year 3: Develop deep functional knowledge while demonstrating breadth through projects involving multiple collaborators across Diageo Supply Chain & Procurement. Take on large‑scale projects utilising business insight, with technical judgment in roles like Global Project Manager or within our futures programmes.

Qualifications
On the qualification side, you’ll need to have acquired or be expecting to obtain an academic degree. For the Technical Graduate Programme, we are particularly interested to hear from graduates with degrees in fields such as STEM or a related discipline including Food Science, Environmental Science, and Environmental Sustainability as well as Brewing & Distilling and Project Management and expect to be graduating in 2026 or have graduated within the last 2 years. You must be proficient in English, and with opportunities across Europe you must be mobile and prepared to relocate geographically during the programme.
