The role operates on a continental shift pattern, working 12‑hour shifts across days and nights.

As an Electrical / Instrument Technician, you’ll play a key role within the site engineering team, maintaining and improving a wide range of plant equipment and systems—from LV electrical distribution and process control systems to boilers, compressors, HVAC, and utilities. You’ll be responsible for planned preventative maintenance, fault finding, and supporting capital projects including installation and commissioning activities.

Working in a high‑performance environment, you’ll ensure compliance with all safety, environmental, and legislative standards, while driving continuous improvement across asset care, reliability, and productivity. You’ll also support operators, contribute to performance metrics, and use system data to help optimise site operations.

You’re a time‑served Electrical or Controls/Instrumentation engineer with solid experience working in a manufacturing environment. You bring strong technical knowledge across electrical systems, instrumentation, and control, with the ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and P&IDs. You’re comfortable using maintenance systems such as SAP, confident working with data, and committed to safe systems of work at all times. Ideally, you’ll also have exposure to PCS7, functional safety systems, and continuous improvement methodologies.
