In this role, you’ll play a pivotal part in shaping and driving the Compliance, Risk, and Health & Safety strategy across Diageo Global Supply – ensuring our operations consistently meet the highest standards of safety, quality, and regulatory excellence.
Please note : this role requires regular travel to our Shieldhall (Glasgow) and Leven (Fife) sites, typically 1-2 days per week at each location.

About the Role
We are looking for a proactive and strategic Compliance, Risk and Health & Safety Manager to join our Primary Logistics team in Scotland, based in either Glasgow or Edinburgh, with regular travel to our Shieldhall and Leven sites.
In this role you will shape and drive the Compliance, Risk and Health & Safety strategy across Diageo Global Supply, ensuring our operations meet the highest standards of safety, quality and regulatory compliance. As a member of the Primary Logistics Leadership Team and the Crisis Management teams, you will play a key role in safeguarding Diageo’s people, brands and reputation.
You will support the creation of a dynamic Health & Safety programme for our onsite 3PL partners, working closely with Category Teams, Logistics Contract Managers and other H&S Managers within Global Brand Supply to standardise processes, lead risk and drive compliance. Your influence will extend across operations, helping Diageo continue its journey to become the most trusted and respected consumer goods company in the world.
The successful candidate will provide strategic leadership, practical mentorship, and innovative solutions across H&S, Compliance, and Risk management, ensuring end‑to‑end performance, operational resilience, and a safe working environment for all.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the onsite 3PL Health & Safety programme, setting the standard for safety and compliance across Primary Logistics.
- Ensure Diageo’s Quality Strategy for logistics effectively handles customer concerns with robust corrective actions.
- Develop and supervise the Primary Logistics (Scotland) risk mitigation plan, including ownership of Business Continuity Plans (BCP) for cyber, 3PL, and onsite operations.
- Drive logistics innovation, using technology and digital solutions to enhance safety and operational performance.
- Define and supervise critical metrics for Health & Safety and Customer Concerns, focusing on both leading and lagging indicators.
- Carry out ongoing external benchmarking to identify trends and guidelines in the broader logistics sector, improving processes, strategy, and technology.
