Join the Future of Malts Production at Diageo on L36. L36 is currently undergoing a major capital investment programme to become a fully automated malts line capable of producing up to 200 bottles per minute. Following the success of Phase 1 of the programme—completed in H2 FY25 and already delivering fantastic results on our Diageo scorecard—we are now full speed ahead into Phase 2: Our next set of automated machinery, including auto-cartoning and auto-packing systems has just recently been installed.
This investment will:
- Significantly improve site efficiency
- Reduce repetitive manual handling
- Minimise the environmental impact of case assembly deliveries
About the Role
As an Equipment Owner, you will be part of a high-performing packaging team working across manual and automated processes to deliver world-class performance on L36. You will play a key role in:
- Operating, monitoring, and supporting automated machinery
- Carrying out changeovers, basic maintenance, and quality assurance checks
- Maintaining exceptional health and safety and manufacturing excellence standards
- Recording data using business systems to support performance and compliance
- Collaborating with colleagues across shifts to ensure consistent production results
- Taking ownership of line KPIs and driving continuous improvement
- Supporting problem-solving activities and implementing corrective actions
You will be encouraged to build capability across more than one machine to support a flow-to-work approach. A flexible mindset is essential, as you may be required to provide cover during holidays or periods of absence.
