About The Function

The Global Corporate Real Estate portfolio consists of a mixture of office locations, supply and manufacturing sites, and land – 123 offices and 130+ supply sites (breweries, distilleries, packaging and bottling sites, brand homes) totaling 100m sq. feet. We run an outsourced/thin client model, with Regional CRES teams that are aligned with our markets, and a Global Centre of Excellence. CRES is the global owner of fleet strategy and is leading the standardisation of the fleet operating model globally. With a global fleet of over 3,000+ vehicles and 1,600+ of these across Europe, the impact of CRES is critical to carbon, cash and colleague experience across Diageo.

About The Role

We’re excited to be hiring for a newly created Europe Fleet Manager position within our Corporate Real Estate Services (CRES) function. Reporting into our Head of Strategy & Standards, this role will play an important part in shaping and standardising fleet operations across the region, while helping drive a more efficient and future-focused operating model. Managing a fleet of approximately 1,700 vehicles, this is far more than a traditional operational fleet role. We’re looking for someone who enjoys driving transformation, improving ways of working, and leading change with confidence and collaboration.

  • Supporting the transition to a future fleet operating model across Europe, with potential to expand globally over time
  • Leading and supporting change initiatives, helping teams embed new ways of working successfully
  • Line managing a team of Fleet Coordinators and supporting consistent delivery across markets
  • Reviewing and improving fleet policies, processes, and operational standards across the region
  • Driving efficiencies and identifying opportunities to optimise performance, cost, and colleague experience
  • Supporting the wider mobility strategy, including sustainability and fleet modernisation initiatives
  • Leading reporting and analysis around fleet performance, mileage, emissions, and optimisation opportunities
  • Partnering closely with teams across HR, Procurement, Finance, Tax, ESG, Payroll, Risk, and Health & Safety
  • Supporting compliance, governance, and financial reporting activities across the fleet operation

About You

We’re looking for someone who is comfortable balancing operational delivery with strategic thinking – someone who enjoys building relationships, influencing stakeholders, and continuously improving processes and performance.

This Role Would Suit Someone Who:

  • Has strong fleet management competence, ideally managing fleets of 800+ vehicles, including company cars, vans, pool vehicles, bespoke vehicles, and EV/BEV fleets
  • Brings strong European experience, with global exposure a bonus
  • Has proven senior-level people management and leadership experience
  • Enjoys leading change, transformation, and programme management activity
  • Has strong supplier, commercial, and contract management experience
  • Is confident managing and influencing stakeholders across multiple functions and markets
  • Brings a proactive, self-motivated, customer-focused approach with strong communication skills
  • Is comfortable using data, reporting, and performance metrics to drive decisions and improvements
  • Has experience working with procurement and wider CRES-related functions
  • Has experience leading extended teams and/or third-party suppliers
  • Understands governance, compliance, operational risk, and fleet performance management
  • Can confidently communicate with and challenge senior stakeholders when needed
  • Is passionate about continuous improvement, efficiency, and colleague experience
