Overview
In this global role, you will shape how consumers discover Diageo brands across search and AI-driven channels. You’ll own the brand discoverability strategy, building technical foundations that make our content easily accessible and accurately represented. Working with content, product and engineering partners, you’ll turn discovery insights into actionable priorities. You’ll test and scale improvements on owned platforms like The-Bar and Malts.com, driving measurable impact across markets.
Responsibilities
- Set the global discoverability strategy and roadmap for SEO, GEO, AI-driven discovery, and emerging platforms.
- Define and own the discoverability KPIs, baselines and reporting aligned with the marketing performance framework.
- Develop technical foundations for scale: crawling/indexing, site architecture, structured data, and consistent brand data across systems.
- Lead technical implementation and experimentation on owned platforms, designing tests and validating outcomes for search and AI visibility.
- Embed discoverability across global teams and markets, connecting owned platform data with broader digital ecosystem requirements.
Key requirements
- Technical SEO expertise (crawling/indexing, structured data, site architecture)
- Experience diagnosing complex issues and defining technical solutions with engineering teams
- Experience in technical search, discoverability, or digital platform optimization at scale
- Experience owning KPI definitions, measurement methodologies, and data-driven decision making
- Ability to work across product, engineering, content and marketing teams to drive improvements
- Understanding of AI-driven discovery and GEO approaches is desirable
