About the Role

As an Operator within our team at Leven, Scotland, you’ll play a pivotal role in ensuring that operations are carried out to the highest standard and in adherence to Diageo health and safety, environmental and food safety standards, at all times.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • In this role you will have the chance to create a positive change by being aware of loss within the area, actively working at all times to reduce and eliminate waste.
  • You will be accountable for delivering effective shift handovers, operating packaging machine processes following defined standard operating procedures for machine operation and set up time reduction.
  • You will perform autonomous maintenance tasks including clean, inspect & lubricate and respond to issues that may arise.
  • This role involves working closely with team leader and production improvement leader to drive performance and improvement initiatives on your line.
  • Are a great team player who can also take initiative when needed and make effective decisions.
  • You’ll have excellent interpersonal skills, with the ambition and drive to support Team Leaders and potentially aspire to become a Team Leader in the future.
  • Have the drive to make a positive difference to manufacturing excellence and thrive in situations where you can solve problems, put forward your own ideas for improving current approaches, and identify and evaluate new opportunities.
  • Have knowledge of Health and Safety legislation and environmental risk principles. Previous experience or demonstrated knowledge in these areas would be beneficial.
