Key Responsibilities
- Support the performance cycle and act as a Key Business Partner – tracking performance against the financial plan (NSV, OP, Cash) and other critical metrics, including consumer and hospitality KPIs, and proactively managing associated risks and opportunities.
- Support and challenge revenue pillars on sales and profit delivery, key KPIs, and cash targets, with a focus on navigating monthly forecasting cycles and full‑year performance.
- Provide decision support by driving possibility thinking in commercial discussions, supporting the development of new revenue streams and cost opportunities, and modelling key scenarios to support growth.
- Help build commercial and financial acumen across the site and the broader team (Diageo & 3rd Party).
- Drive commercial teams to understand external influences and trends and their impact on current or future performance.
- Quantify risks and opportunities for the AOP and communicate these to leaders.
- Drive an effective measurement and evaluation process for investment in the business, alongside key business partners.
- Support cost management and drive efficiency in line with best‑in‑class and productivity agendas, including RGM, A&P effectiveness, and indirect cost management.
- Support FC teams with month‑end accruals and reconciliations, ensuring accurate and fully understood month‑end positions in line with the working‑day cycle.
- Provide direct cover for the Head of Finance and step into key meetings when required due to annual leave or calendar requirements.
Control & Compliance
- Provide direct support in regular stock taking and asset verification.
- Ensure accountability for, and ownership of, the controls environment.
- Ensure all globally mandated CARE requirements are adhered to.
- Support collection and sharing of key site information required for ESG requirements (e.g., logistics, retail, and brewing processes).
- Maintain full visibility of risks and mitigation, including a regular Risk Management Committee meeting.
Qualifications
- Part or recently qualified accountant currently studying or having studied towards ACCA or CIMA qualifications.
- Existing capability to build genuine relationships built on mutual trust and respect.
- Successful management of senior stakeholders, resulting in strong and positive outcomes.
- Comfort with dealing with ambiguity, complexity, and working within a fast‑paced, entrepreneurial, and matrixed environment.
- Deep personal accountability for great performance.
- Strong commercial and numerical acumen with attention to detail.
- Intermediate to advanced Excel and PowerBI skills.
- Demonstrate mastery of the basics in financial analysis.
