This is a great opportunity for an individual to join and gain experience working in the Scotch Governance H&S function, which is based in Scotland.
We are looking for an upbeat, and adaptable individual to join our team as an Health and Safety Coordinator based at Blackgrange, Alloa.

About the Function
Our Supply Chain and Manufacturing team are problem-solvers, sourcing, producing, and delivering our much-loved brands to delight customers around the globe. Over half of Diageo’s 30,000+ people work in Supply Chain and Manufacturing. It’s an intricate and sophisticated operation that’s the product of logistical, manufacturing, and technical collaborations.
About the Role
Reporting to Scotch HSE Manager, you will be working with a wide range of stakeholders across maturation sites. You will foster a positive H&S culture by engaging employees through training programs and awareness campaigns. You will lead and support H&S improvement programmes in line with Scotch H&S Strategy.The role involves using data analytics for performance tracking related to HSE outcomes, providing expert guidance on best practices during project design reviews, overseeing vendor acceptance testing processes to ensure new equipment meets Maturation stringent HSE standards before deployment.
Some of the other key responsibilities are:

Collaborating with cross-functional teams to integrate Health & Safety considerations into all business processes.

Ensuring adherence to Maturation Health, Safety & Wellbeing standards and local legislation through rigorous monitoring and reporting mechanisms.

Actively participating in strategic projects such as new equipment and installations by collaborating with Project Implementation Leads (PILs), project teams, and start-up teams.

Ensuring that health and safety considerations are integral parts of project planning and execution phases.

Coaching vendors on Maturation health, safety, and wellbeing standards during both installation and operational phases to ensure full compliance.

Working closely with suppliers to develop robust environmental management systems that align with Maturation sustainability commitments.
About You
We’re looking for someone who can work well within a team, make effective decisions, and thrive in problem-solving situations. You’ll bring energy and adaptability, with the ability to push forward improvements and share ideas that drive manufacturing excellence. Excellent communication skills are a must, as is a proactive approach to health and safety compliance.
You’ll have demonstrable knowledge of health and safety legislation and environmental risk principles.
It’d be great if you had, or were willing to work towards, the following (not essential):
- NEBOSH General Certificate with aspiration to work towards NEBOSH Diploma or equivalent level Practitioner Qualification in Occupational Safety & Health
- Proven track record in handling H&S incidents and accident investigations
