About the Function
Procurement shapes how we build and grow our brands through the partnerships, services and materials that support our business. Managing over 12bn of spend, this team works across our global supply chain to create value, drive efficiency and support sustainable growth. From supplier partnerships to innovation, their work has a direct impact on the quality and success of our brands.
As a Global Procurement Specialist - Ingredients, you'll play a key role in supporting the development and delivery of Diageo's global ingredients category strategy. Working closely with the Global Procurement Manager and a broad network of internal and external partners, you'll help deliver sourcing excellence, build strong supplier relationships and identify opportunities to create value across the category.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and support competitive sourcing activities from end to end, including RFIs, RFPs and RFQs, commercial evaluations, contract implementation and supplier onboarding.
- Using market intelligence, spend analysis and supplier performance data, identify opportunities to optimise costs, improve productivity, mitigate risk and drive continuous improvement.
- Work with cross-functional stakeholders and suppliers to support governance, performance reviews and Joint Business Planning.
- Harness digital procurement tools, AI, analytics and reporting to enhance sourcing effectiveness and support data-driven decision making.
- Ensure compliance with Procurement governance and contribute to delivering Diageo's Procurement 2028 priorities across Simplify, Scale and Orchestrate.
Qualifications:
- Degree qualified, (or equivalent experience) in Procurement, Supply Chain, Business or a related discipline.
- Experience in procurement, strategic sourcing or category management, including sourcing events, tender management and contract implementation.
- Strong commercial, analytical and stakeholder management skills, with proficiency in procurement systems and data analysis.
- Digital procurement tools, AI or advanced analytics desirable.
