Environment Manager
Location: Runcorn, England
Full Time, Permanent Position
Reporting to: Beer Governance Manager
End Date to Apply: 22nd October

Responsibilities
- Manage the site’s relationship with external partners, including the Environment Agency, United Utilities, local residents, and businesses.
- Ensure all environmental regulatory and compliance standards are met or exceeded, including ISO 14001 and IPPC licence requirements.
- Lead environmental management across the site, including the environmental management system, change management, communications, COSHH, and statutory engagement.
- Oversee ESG data reporting internally and externally, supporting the Diageo DARE (Data & Reporting Excellence) programme.
- Lead audits for environmental regulatory bodies, ISO 14001 accreditation, and ESG data assurance.
- Supporting the development of a strong culture for site environmental awareness & capability through outstanding level of employee engagement.
What We’re Looking For
- Strong interpersonal and leadership skills, with the ability to communicate effectively at all levels and engage a diverse range of contractors and stakeholders.
- Proven project management expertise, with the ability to lead multiple diverse projects on varying timelines.
- Ability to consider change management implications from a cross-site perspective, using effective engagement tools and techniques.
- Strategic mindset with capability to design future-facing solutions and oversee implementation.
- NEBOSH Diploma in Environmental Management.
- Degree in Environmental Science or Environmental Management (desirable).
- Experience leading an environmental management system in a manufacturing setting.

- 18-acre, 24/7 operation with 4 rotational crews
- 2 bottling lines, 2 canning lines, 1 kegging line
- 90+ SKUs, 16 beer/liquid types, ~23M cases/year
- Produces for UK, Ireland, and export markets — with significant ongoing investment
