Primary Responsibilities
- Support day-to-day operations of a large, multi-experience hospitality venue.
- Ensure smooth delivery of services across bars, restaurants, events and brewery experiences.
- Maintain legal and community commitments (e.g., licensing, OMP).
- Assist in managing relationships with key partners, including Sodexo.
- Support financial performance targets (P&L accountability).
- Assist in staff recruitment, training and delivery of high service standards.
- Help manage external stakeholder relationships (e.g., police, licensing authorities).
- Support cultural, community and event-driven initiatives.
- Contribute to Net Promoter Score (NPS) targets.
Day-to-Day Activities
- Operate across the full site (50,000 sq/ft) during shifts.
- Patrol the site and be present in customer-facing and back-of-house areas.
- Lead licensing and OMP commitments, engaging with staff and security.
- Assist with deliveries and courtyard logistics; manage early-morning vehicle delivery.
- Be prepared for crisis management: respond promptly to crises and execute safe evacuations.
- Attend incidents and accidents, coordinating with security.
- Provide first aid when required.
- Ensure brand reputation through quality control, working with cellar staff to secure the perfect pint of Guinness.
- Co-ordinate fire response and ensure safety evacuation of guests and staff.
- Navigate narrow staircases and complex layouts of the old Covent Garden buildings.
- Support training across compliance, standards and other departments.
- Assist in bar service, stock-room duties and stock replenishment.
- Set up events, move furniture, and handle AV and staging equipment.
- Lifting and carrying stock, managing pallets and restocking bars and retail areas.
- Assist brewery tours – handling heavy doors, guiding groups up/down stairs and setting up samples.
- Clear refuse – taking bins, moving waste/recycling, especially after events.
- Support emergency tasks such as spill clean-up and fire evacuation assistance.
Additional Responsibilities
- Flexible working may be required, including early starts, late finishes and occasional work in poorly lit areas.
- Support external stakeholder relations, including police and licensing authorities.
