The Change Impacts Manager plays a critical role in Symphony by ensuring the business is ready for change through structured assessment, tracking, and management of impacts. This role is responsible for identifying, assessing, and governing the change impacts of Symphony across global functions and markets, enabling effective planning, mitigation, and adoption support.
Purpose Of Role
To lead the identification, analysis, and governance of change impacts across the Symphony Programme, ensuring risks and implications are well understood and managed. The Change Impacts Manager provides a central view of how Symphony affects business processes, roles, and behaviours, enabling proactive planning, stakeholder alignment, and business readiness.
Key Accountabilities
- Own the Change Impact Management Framework by defining the approach, standards, and tools for capturing and managing Symphony change impacts.
- Identify and Assess Impacts across functions, markets, and roles to provide clear visibility of what changes, for whom, and when.
- Collaborate Across Workstreams (Change, Training, Comms, Data Products, Governance, Deployment) to ensure impact assessment informs planning and delivery.
- Maintain the Change Impact Register as a central artefact, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and clear accountability.
- Partner with Business and Market Leaders to validate impacts, secure ownership, and ensure impacts are understood and prepared for locally.
- Provide Executive-Level Insights by synthesising impacts into clear dashboards and reports for Steering Committees and governance forums.
- Support Risk and Mitigation Planning by linking impacts to readiness activities, adoption risks, and business continuity considerations.
- Align Impacts with Training and Comms so that learning, messaging, and engagement activities are directly targeted at the most affected groups.
- Embed Impact Tracking into Deployment ensuring impacts are continuously monitored and addressed throughout programme rollouts.
- Champion Business Readiness by ensuring impacts are fully understood, owned, and managed to minimise disruption and maximise adoption.
Required Qualifications and Experience
- 10+ years’ experience in business change, transformation, or organisational design within global, complex organisations.
- Strong expertise in impact assessment, business readiness, and change governance frameworks.
- Experience in large-scale transformation programmes (digital, data, ERP, or equivalent).
- Ability to work across multiple functions and markets, aligning diverse stakeholders.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to simplify complexity for executive audiences.
- Excellent stakeholder management and influencing skills at senior levels.
Preferred
- Degree in Business, Organisation Development, Change, or related field.
- Professional certification in Change Management (e.g., PROSCI, CCMP).
- Experience in FMCG/CPG or similarly complex industries.
- Familiarity with Agile delivery and product-led operating models.
- Experience with tools such as Jira, Confluence, Power BI, or equivalent for impact tracking and reporting.

- A comprehensive change impact register has been developed and maintained across all Symphony workstreams.
- Impacts are clearly understood and owned by relevant business and market leaders.
- Readiness and adoption activities linked to assessed impacts.
- Initiative-taking risk mitigation reduces disruption at go-live.
