About the Role
The Bio Energy Business Leader (BL) role is a very exciting opportunity at Diageo, in the Bio Energy Plant Team at Cameronbridge. We are looking for someone who will provide leadership through delivering outstanding results and setting clear strategic direction to your operational area to run the business.
As a BL you will work with your operations team to provide Cameronbridge and Diageo’s sustainable solutions to achieve our Society 2030 Ambition, by producing Bio Gas and recovered water from our production processes. To facilitate the achievement of department targets and successful delivery of continuous improvement projects. You will have ownership of all aspects of safety, performance, cost, quality, and service.
We operate within an environment where you are a coach who is able get the very best out of our people by understanding their skills, upskilling where needed and providing the right development for each team member. By using established partnerships and visual management tools like daily team meetings and short interval control, you’ll be comfortable giving operational autonomy to your team whilst remaining accountable for performance.
About You / Key Skills
- Upholding standards through practices; owning Key Performance Indicator targets across all shifts, leading on Tier 1 and Tier 2 Daily Operations Reviews to track and drive performance, and ensure safety is the number one priority.
- Problem solving for performance, ensuring proper application of Root Cause Problem Solving through role modelling and leadership and holding self and others to account on corrective actions; and reacting immediately to issues as they are exposed.
- Managing Change for continuous improvement including building capability of the team and contributing to improvement initiatives including productivity projects and strategic planning of Capital Expenditure for your operational area.
