About the role: We operate Guinness packaging facilities at Marshalls Road in Belfast, Northern Ireland, and Runcorn, in Northwest England, packaging canned, bottled and kegged product for Ireland, the UK and export markets. This role sits within the liquid processing area of our plant and is responsible for the safe receipting, handling, processing, and movement of liquids that are critical to the production of our high‑quality products. You will work closely with a range of stakeholders across the site to ensure safety, quality, and performance targets are consistently achieved.

  • Always maintain a safe working environment, ensuring adherence to site safety standards for yourself and others.
  • Prepare, blend, monitor, and control liquid batches to meet specifications and production requirements.
  • Carry out Cleaning in Place (CIP) activities to uphold food safety, hygiene, and quality standards.
  • Conduct quality analysis of liquids and support root cause problem solving and troubleshooting activities.
  • Collaborate effectively with end‑to‑end stakeholders across the production facility.
  • Support logistical movements on site, including shunting activities (training provided), while actively engaging in continuous improvement and daily performance targets.

About you: We’re seeking a dependable and resilient individual with a strong technical approach and a commitment to working safely and accurately in a process‑driven environment. You’ll take pride in doing things right, can balance multiple priorities, and adapt well to changing demands while working collaboratively with multiple stakeholders.

You’ll be able to demonstrate:

  • Technical proficiency with a clear understanding of liquid handling and processing operations.
  • Strong numeracy skills, with confidence in calculations and quantitative checks.
  • At least a GCSE (or equivalent) in maths.
  • High attention to detail, with a curious approach to learning and a cautious, controlled working style.

Desirable:

  • Experience using SAP, particularly with process orders.
  • Understanding of SCADA systems and automated process control.
  • Knowledge of process safety principles, including lock out/tag out and hazardous energies.
  • Previous shunting experience or willingness to be trained on site.
