About The Role
The Quality Assurance Department is an integral part of the production operation at Diageo providing analytical support and technical expertise across Quality, Food Safety and Quality Management Systems. A key objective is to ensure full compliance of packaged products with statutory requirements and technical and market specifications, while driving the company’s Continuous Improvement agenda and Strategic Quality Plan. As a Quality Assurance Technician, you will be a key member of the shift-based operational team, working closely with Team Managers, production coordinators, operators, engineers and compliance teams to uphold the highest quality standards across packaging operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Work alongside the operational shift team, following a continental shift pattern, including holiday cover
- Complete analytical and microbiological sampling and checks in line with the Quality Sampling Plan across production lines and other designated locations
- Analyse QA and production data and documentation to identify potential quality issues, follow up on deviations, and provide high-quality feedback to shift teams, management and improvement teams
- Monitor, validate, set up and troubleshoot quality instrumentation to ensure accuracy and reliability
- Act as the key point of contact for quality-related matters during shift operations
- Ensure full compliance with safety, health, environmental, quality and housekeeping policies and procedures

You are analytical in your approach, able to interpret data, identify trends and investigate issues, while providing clear, constructive feedback to both operational and management teams. You value safety as a top priority and understand the importance of following procedures, standards and quality systems. You are adaptable, resilient and able to manage changing priorities while maintaining accuracy and professionalism.
