Our Supply Chain and Manufacturing team are problem-solvers, sourcing, producing, and delivering our much-loved brands to delight customers around the globe. About the role
This position is based at Diageo’s east Belfast packaging facility, a 12-acre site running a 24/7 operation and supplied with beer from St James Gate in Dublin. The site packages over 20 brands, including Guinness Draught, Guinness 0.0, Hop House 13, Smithwick’s and Rockshore.
This is a key leadership role responsible for driving world-class performance across the canning area, delivering against all elements of the balanced scorecard of Safety, Quality, Performance, Service, Cost, and People. You’ll lead and develop your team to meet site objectives, champion governance and compliance standards, and embed a culture of manufacturing excellence through continuous improvement and capability building on the shop floor.
Key responsibilities:
- Lead the T1 function to deliver exceptional performance across all balanced scorecard metrics
- Champion health, safety, quality, and regulatory compliance standards (e.g. ISO, HACCP) and ensure audit readiness
- Drive and deploy the manufacturing excellence programme (TRACC) to enhance performance, standards, and asset care
- Coach, develop, and build capability within your team, spending significant time on the shop floor
- Lead cross-functional problem-solving and collaborate closely with Engineering and ManEx leaders
- Own departmental capability, budgeting, and long-term resource planning aligned to site strategy
