Based at our Diageo site in Mallusk working a rotating shift pattern with a competitive salary + shift allowance.

About the Role

As a Craft Technician at our Mallusk site you’ll play a key role in keeping our production lines running safely, efficiently, and at the highest quality standards. You’ll be responsible for the operation, maintenance and optimisation of equipment, ensuring minimal disruption and maximum performance across the site. Working in a fast-paced FMCG environment, you’ll carry out fault finding, respond to breakdowns, and support both reactive and planned maintenance activities. You’ll also contribute to continuous improvement and Manufacturing Excellence initiatives, helping to drive overall site performance across safety, quality, service, cost, and sustainability.

This role operates on a rotating shift pattern:

  • Week 1 (Days):
    • Monday to Thursday: 7:00am – 3:00pm
    • Friday: 7:00am – 2:00pm
  • Week 2 (Back Shift):
    • Monday to Wednesday: 2:50pm – 12:45am
    • Thursday: 2:50pm – 12:05am (finishing early Friday morning)

Shift Allowance 15% (Off-peak: January – June) 25% (Peak: July – December)

About You

You’ll be a qualified Electrical or Mechanical technician with a recognised apprenticeship and solid experience working within an industrial or manufacturing environment, ideally within FMCG. You’ll have a strong understanding of maintenance practices and asset performance, with proven ability to diagnose faults, solve problems quickly and minimise downtime. You bring a proactive mindset, with a focus on continuous improvement and a commitment to maintaining high standards of safety, quality, and hygiene. Comfortable working as part of a team, you’re adaptable and willing to support across different areas when needed. You’ll also have good IT skills, including experience with Microsoft Office, and any exposure to Computerised Maintenance Management Systems would be a plus. Above all, you’ll be someone who takes pride in your work, thrives in a shift-based environment, and is motivated to contribute to a high-performing team.
