About the role As a Shift Engineer,you’llplay a key role in improving line efficiency by minimising unplanned stoppages and improving planned maintenance.Youlllead continuous improvement initiatives, working closely with maintenance teams to ensure quick turnarounds and address recurring issues through root cause problem solving.
Your focus will be on increasing equipment uptime, driving performance in line with Diageo’s standards, and ensuring health and safety compliance.
Achieving site and personal KPIs will be a top priority as you contribute to our culture of manufacturing excellence.
Key points you wouldbe responsible forare: Contributing to the achievement and improvement of Asset Care KPIs through the delivery of efficient and effective maintenance, repair, problem solving and improvement of assets and their availability across site.
Contributing to the achievement and improvement of Asset Care KPIs through efficient maintenance, repairs, and problem-solving.
Support improvement projects focused on compliance, waste reduction, cash savings, and performance reliability.
Ensure effective information sharing, handovers, and teamwork, providing technical knowledge and collaborating with OEMs for solutions.
Manage Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) schedules, ensuring accurate completionto standards and SAP input.
Support capital work, including installation, commissioning, and early equipment management; review RCM as needed.
Work with Operators, Reliability Engineers, and Shift Managers on situational problem-solving using root cause analysis.
Participate in Daily Tier meetings to address and resolve performance issues.
Proactivelyanticipateand address issues, driving solutions with the wider engineering team.
Conduct Daily Craft Inspections and collaborate with Shift Managers tooptimizemachine efficiency and perform repairs during downtime.
Health and safety compliance is key, andyoullbe at the forefront of making sure this ismonitoredalongside ensuring both site and personal targets are achieved.
About you Are you a time served electrician and have a passion for deliveringhigh standards? Are you able to react quickly to unexpected problems and make fast paced decisions? Ifso,then this may be just the role for you! To be successful in this role,werelooking for someone who has a recognised Electrical Apprenticeship and an Electrical HNC OR equivalent.
Proven experience in a production environment and able todemonstrateunderstanding of asset performance and maintenance philosophy.
Bringing with you a shown understanding of electrical maintenance and the ability to meet goals are qualities that will set you up for success.
Key skills and experience: Electrical HNC or equivalent Time served electrical qualification (NVQ level 3etc) 17/18th Edition Skills andproficiencyare things that matter to Diageo, and sowedlove to hear from candidates from a wide range of backgrounds and experience who are passionate about transferring those skills and experience into a quality environment.
Shifts This role requires you to work a 42hr week, 24/7 cover consisting of x2 day shifts, x2 night shifts, on a rolling 4 on 4 off basis.
