We are looking for collaborative, process minded and enthusiastic Operations Manager to manage instore strategic operational efficiency. A highly motivated, results driven proactive individual who will have a considerable degree of autonomy to support their colleagues in delivering an extraordinary customer experience. Commercially astute with a knowledge of financial goals and KPI’s, they will support the Retail Manager by managing all areas of the store operations.

Purpose of Role

  • Working in close conjunction with all relevant departments to ensure operational success.
  • Run the coordination of initiatives to improve store organisation, efficiency, stock availability and customer experience.
  • Responsible for the management and reporting of various analysis and reports related to the evolution of The-Bar activities.
  • Supervising actions and initiatives taken by the brands, analyzing their impacts, relevance and efficiencies in close collaboration with the supporting functions and relaying the summaries to the Retail Manager.
  • Propose, define, implement and improve business solutions (such as new retail tools, new retail activities and practices, cycle counts, new brand innovations etc.) with the goal of continuously improving and raising the standards.
  • Responsible for ensuring operational specifications are communicated to all partners.
  • Handle the logistics and operational delivery of instore brand campaigns while aligning with GB and Global strategy.

Top Accountabilities

Operations:

  • Reconcile daily takings, cash handling with sale receipts and report any discrepancies, invoices, POs, shipments.
  • Management of KPI trackers, Store Rota, Holiday planner, MTT, Money Mapping and trade reports.
  • Manage daily rota planning, floor cover and optimize staff cover during busy trading periods.
  • Responsible for knowing and reinforcing all company policies and procedures.
  • Create and monitor all loss prevention strategies and product returns including sampling.
  • Responsible for maintaining merchandising and replenishment of products on the shop floor.
  • Create guidelines which manage all back of house duties, stock management, cycle counts, stock inventory, stock ordering, stationary replenishment, and rota planning.
  • Implementation of an omnichannel communication platform, supporting Ecom with personalization of stock and feeding back to the Store manager.

Sales:

  • Run, develop, and drive results which exceed the expectations set by the business.
  • Ensure that sales team are aware of targets, KPI’s by providing all necessary tools.

Service:

  • Deliver excellent customer service experiences which goes above and beyond the customer’s expectations.
  • Ownership of training and mentor sessions to drive the team to achieve their KPI’s.

Other:

  • Opening and closing the store.
  • Manage the recruitment, induction, and training of new joiners.
  • Ownership of workstreams for planning floor moves, visual merchandising, planning global social events' calendar, masterclass and tasting sessions.

Qualifications and Experience required

  • Minimum 5 years of experience managing a team in a fast paced, results driven environment.
  • Problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Partnership approach is critical - role requires ability to build positive relationships with functional team partners.
  • A flexible approach to work during peak times including evenings, weekends and holidays.
  • Sophisticated level in Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint and computer savvy.
