Requirements of the role
- Translate ‘cyber’ into business risk by raising our readiness to detect, prevent and respond given a range of cyber events (incidents).
- Identify the scope of critical assets and operations required to sustain a minimum viable Diageo if subjected to a serious breach/attack.
- Deliver measured end to end cyber readiness controls – regularly test and improve effectiveness of our response using drills and exercises.
- Own, implement and maintain Breach Response and Incident Response plan including critical suppliers/vendors.
- Embed Security and Resilience into our operating model by design.
- Create executive visibility, accountability and continuous improvement.
- Strengthen our cyber culture – going from users being weakest link to cyber advocates.
What success looks like
- Limit material business disruption from cyber events.
- Top risks understood, prioritised, and actively reduced.
- Detection and response fast, automated and predictable.
- Execs are clear, actionable visibility of cyber and resilience.
- Clear, impactful communication at all levels of management and Executive.
Qualifications and Experience Required
- 7-10 + years of experience in handling security incident and breach response, with 15+ years of experience in cyber security domain.
- Substantial experience with information technology systems and processes.
- Experience in large scale, complex post-incident investigations, using techniques such as network forensics, log analysis, timeline creation, and host-based forensics as an incident response handler.
- Good understanding of defense and detection tools and technologies, and their usage in incident response.
- Familiar with forensics software such as EnCase, Helix, XRY and FTK.
- Good understanding of technology domains such as endpoints, compute, cloud and network, and incident response in these areas.
- Ability to think quickly and confident in making decisions in high pressure situations.
- Great problem-solving skills and willing to adapt within emergency situations.
- Good communicator with excellent writing skills.
- Strong human relation skills with proven ability to build strong working relationships at all levels of the organization.
- Depth and breadth across all the core bodies of information security knowledge including threat, vulnerability, risk, and controls.
