About the role

As a Weekend Operator at Diageo, you’ll be part of a supportive, high-performing packaging team, working across both manual and automated processes to bring our iconic products to life. You’ll have a crucial role in delivering quality, consistency, and efficiency, while growing your own capability in a dynamic, forward-thinking environment.
What you’ll be doing:
- Operating and monitoring packaging machinery, carrying out smooth changeovers and supporting day-to-day line performance
- Championing a strong health and safety culture, ensuring standards are always met and exceeded
- Taking ownership of key operational benchmarks, contributing to team success and continuous improvement
- Supporting quality control processes to ensure every product meets our high standards
- Assisting with basic maintenance activities and problem-solving to keep production flowing seamlessly
- Recording accurate data through business systems to track performance and find opportunities
- Collaborating closely with colleagues across shifts to maintain consistency and share standard procedures
- Building capability across multiple machines to enable flexibility and “flow to work” across the line
You will be assigned to one of the following shift patterns equating to a 29 hour week:
Fixed Weekend Shift Pattern
- Friday: 1:00 PM – 7:00 PM
- Saturday: 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM
- Sunday: 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM
Flexible Weekend Shift Pattern
- Friday: 8:00 AM – 7:00 PM
- Saturday: 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM
- Sunday: 7:00 AM – 2:00 PM (with flexibility to extend to 7:00 PM)
