About the Role

As a Global Procurement Specialist - Ingredients, you'll play a key role in supporting the development and delivery of Diageo's global ingredients category strategy. Working closely with the Global Procurement Manager and a broad network of internal and external partners, you'll help deliver sourcing excellence, build strong supplier relationships and identify opportunities to create value across the category. You'll lead and support competitive sourcing activities from end to end, including RFIs, RFPs and RFQs, commercial evaluations, contract implementation and supplier onboarding. Using market intelligence, spend analysis and supplier performance data, you'll identify opportunities to optimise costs, improve productivity, mitigate risk and drive continuous improvement. Collaboration is central to the role. You'll work with cross-functional stakeholders and suppliers to support governance, performance reviews and Joint Business Planning, ensuring strong partnerships that contribute to the successful delivery of the category strategy. You'll also harness digital procurement tools, AI, analytics and reporting to enhance sourcing effectiveness and support data-driven decision making. Alongside this, you'll help ensure compliance with Procurement governance and contribute to delivering Diageo's Procurement 2028 priorities across Simplify, Scale and Orchestrate.

In this role, you will:

  • Support the development and execution of Diageo's global Ingredients category strategy, driving sourcing excellence and commercial value.
  • Lead competitive sourcing activities, including RFIs, RFPs, RFQs, commercial evaluations, contract implementation and supplier onboarding.
  • Analyse spend, supplier performance and market intelligence to identify opportunities for productivity, cost optimisation, value creation and risk mitigation.
  • Build collaborative relationships with suppliers and cross-functional stakeholders, supporting governance, performance reviews and Joint Business Planning.
  • Leverage digital procurement tools, AI, analytics and reporting to improve sourcing effectiveness and procurement performance.
  • Ensure compliance with Procurement governance while supporting the delivery of Diageo's Procurement 2028 strategy and priorities.

Experience / skills required:

  • Degree qualified, (or equivalent experience) in Procurement, Supply Chain, Business or a related discipline.
  • Experience in procurement, strategic sourcing or category management, including sourcing events, tender management and contract implementation.
  • Strong commercial, analytical and stakeholder management skills, with proficiency in procurement systems and data analysis.
  • Digital procurement tools, AI or advanced analytics desirable.
