The Partnership Manager (Tesco Specialist) leads on the delivery and development of Diabetes UK's flagship partnership with the UK's biggest retailer, Tesco. Working on our Health Charity Partnership (HCP) with counterparts at the British Heart Foundation and Cancer Research UK, this awardâwinning, UKâwide partnership aims to improve the health of the nation using the retailer's reach and influence.
Responsibilities
- Lead and deliver income generation and project manage strategic activities, delivering against shared and charityâspecific goals.
- Contribute to the development and success of the Account Management Team and support crossâteam projects.
- Lineâmanage a Partnership Officer (Account Management) who supports the delivery of the Tesco Partnership.
- Work closely with internal teams: Clinical, Marketing, Policy, Nations and Regions, and Strategy and Planning.
- Collaborate with external partners at the British Heart Foundation, Cancer Research UK, Tesco, and Tesco's PR and communications agencies.
- Drive and support best practice across the team and charity, and contribute to crossâteam projects and other tasks as required.
Qualifications
- Account management experience with a track record of delivering sixâ and sevenâfigure strategic partnerships within a charity or corporate setting.
- Strong timeâmanagement and organisational skills to manage a busy and diverse workload.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to influence and negotiate effectively with stakeholders at all levels of seniority.
- Excellent communication skills, able to convey ideas succinctly and persuasively to create impactful proposals and other communications.
- Good understanding of commercial principles, business drivers, and the ability to lead and deliver multiâstream income generation that is mutually beneficial through partnership.
- Passion for identifying new financial and nonâfinancial opportunities and a proactive approach to seeking them out.
- Collaborative approach to work, building excellent relationships with internal colleagues and external stakeholders, operating with trust, respect, and transparency.
