We have an opportunity for a Delivery Driver to join the team based in Northfleet, Kent on a Full Time, permanent basis Monday to Friday 7am-3:30pm. You will receive a salary of £26,436.80 per annum plus quarterly bonus based on our points system, in addition to 28 days paid holiday (including the 8 UK bank holidays).
DiVine Importers was founded in 1999 and has established itself as one of the leading suppliers of high quality Italian foods and wine to the hospitality industry within London and the South of England.
As our Delivery Driver your role will be to ensure the correct and timely delivery of orders to restaurants in your designated area.
Responsibilities- Correct and timely delivery of orders to restaurants in your designated area
- Ensure that vans are loaded correctly and deliveries made to customers according to the schedule
- Ensure that a visual check of the goods being loaded is made, and the order is complete in accordance with a loading inventory
- Assist with order picking and van loading for the next day’s deliveries
- Ensure that the customer is satisfied with the service provided and to note any mistakes made so they can be rectified
- Ensure that daily checks are made on vehicles used, basic maintenance undertaken and that records are maintained
- Ensure the administrative procedures are followed and records maintained
- Ensure that health and safety rules and legislation are complied with for both warehouse work and driving work
- Full UK drivers licence
- Experience driving 3.5 tonne vans
- Able to lift safely and repetitively throughout the day
- Able to work well as part of a team, unsupervised and must be able to communicate well with others within the company and also with customers
