As part of the Estates Team, your main duties will be to liaise with all parties involved in the provision of support to the smooth running of DHU's Leicester, Leicestershire, Rutland & Northampton sites and services. Those parties primarily being property owners/landlords, agents and maintenance contractors and other building users.
As an Estates Officer, your Daily Duties will look like:
- Implementation of systems and processes to enable effective oversight at an operational level of all DHU properties
- Taking part in the implementation of effective escalation policies, procedures and protocols that support front-line staff to resolve issues on the ground effectively and in a timely manner
- Supporting the service in auditing buildings focusing on quality and compliance improvements at least annually
- Helping to transform the reputation of the estates team within DHU by putting the clinical and non-clinical customer at the heart of everything the department delivers, this will be based on a can-do approach
- Building effective relationships with DHU staff at all levels and all landlords of properties which DHU staff utilise, so developing an understanding of service requirements
- Supporting the development of work streams within the Estates Strategy with the aim of making sure that all such projects and programmes are compliant with all relevant building and safety requirements
- Supporting DHU managers with DSE assessments to reach an appropriate outcome for staff
- Reviewing claims for payments for small works making recommendations
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A minimum of a level 2 qualification or equivalent in Facilities Management or Building Surveying related discipline
- Full clean UK driving licence
- Working knowledge of Health & Safety legislation, risk and standards
- Experience in the analysis of technical and complex data
