Location: Bassetlaw Hospital, Kilton Kiln, Worksop, S81 0BD
Working patterns: Permanent Contract, 24 hours per week; Bank Contract, 12-month Fixed-Term Contract
Shifts available: Nights only, 8pm–8am, 12-hour shifts
Competitive salary: DHU Band 2.0, £24,554 per annum (pro rata)
Responsibilities
- Carrying out direct patient care duties under the direction and supervision of trained nursing/medical staff.
- Undertaking further training to carry out and extend skills e.g. basic wound closure, recording ECGs, urinalysis as directed by qualified nursing staff.
- Assist in general administrative and clerical duties and maintain manual/computerised records as required.
- To comply with all Company policies, procedures and practices and to be responsible for keeping up to date with any changes to these.
- Transport Clinicians to and from home visits.
- Undertake daily checks to ensure the vehicle to be driven complies with the requirements of the law and is in running order (e.g. maintain the vehicle by taking measurements of oil, fuel, window wash and coolant levels at the beginning of a shift).
- To cover and support with E-Triage validation.
Requirements
- Good basic education
- 5 GCSEs including English Language & Mathematics, or equivalent
- Good standard of literacy & numeracy
- Have held a valid UK Driving Licence for at least 2 years
- Pass an initial Driver medical & assessment
- Ability to work flexible hours at weekends and bank holidays
