As a Clinical Governance Assistant, you will provide administrative support to the Integrated Governance team, helping to ensure high standards of quality and patient safety across DHU Healthcare. You will support the management of complaints and incidents in line with DHU policies, contributing to continuous learning and service improvement. A strong commitment to quality, professionalism, and excellence is essential in this role.
Key Responsibilities- Provide efficient administrative support including data entry, record keeping, document preparation and general office duties.
- Manage correspondence, including emails and letters, in a timely and professional manner.
- Support complaints and incident processes, including logging on Datix, acknowledging concerns and gathering information.
- Arrange and attend meetings, taking accurate minutes where required.
- Communicate effectively with internal teams, external partners and members of the public.
- Handle sensitive conversations with patients and complainants with professionalism and empathy.
- Maintain accurate records and ensure confidentiality in line with Data Protection and Information Governance.
- Support reporting, data collation and continuous improvement activities.
- Carry out general duties to support the smooth running of the Governance function.
Working Relationships: you will work closely with colleagues across DHU, external healthcare partners and members of the public, requiring clear, professional and compassionate communication at all times. This role is flexible and may evolve to meet service needs, with additional duties as required.
