Your new colleagues are a community of registered, general paediatric and mental health nurses, paramedics, and pharmacists who, as a team, work collaboratively to ensure that together we achieve collective brilliance in support of the NHS frontline.
What DHU can offer you:
- Working Patterns: We have a range of rota patterns, covering part time & full time, earlies, mids & lates.
- Comprehensive Training: Successful candidates will undergo four weeks of full-time training, followed by three weeks of supported practice. You’ll be trained on NHS Pathways systems, a recognisable licence that you’ll receive on completion of training. Further details will be provided during the interview process.
- Training and daytime shifts: £19.09 per hour
- Evenings and night shifts: £24.81 per hour
- Generous annual leave entitlement: Standard 25 days + 8 bank holidays, increasing with service up to 33 days + 8 bank holidays.

What your typical day looks like:
- Assess patients from 0+ years, addressing both physical and mental health symptoms, and provide evidence-based advice using NHS Pathways or other clinical decision support systems.
- Assist a diverse range of patients, ensuring they receive appropriate care in a timely manner.
- Offer guidance and support to patients, and where appropriate guide patients across primary, secondary, and tertiary care services.
- Collaborate effectively within a compassionate and professional clinical team.
- Maintain accurate patient records ensuring a professional and empathetic approach is given to all calls.
To be a successful Clinical Advisor you’ll need:
- Registered Adult Nurse (Sub-Part 1, NMC), Paramedic (HCPC), or Pharmacist (GPhC).
- Minimum 2 years post-registration experience with broad clinical knowledge.
- Experience working in a multi-professional clinical environment.
- Strong IT & communication skills, with a patient-first approach.
- Open to a new & exciting challenge enhancing your clinical skills.
