As a Finance Apprentice you will be working as part of the Finance team to support all functions, including but not limited to Purchase Ledger, Sales Ledger, Management Accounts and Financial Reporting.

What your day to day will look like:

  • Assisting the accountancy function in the production of statutory financial functions and financial information, advice and guidance to managers and staff within DHU Healthcare.
  • Assisting in the processing of financial transactions, including payments and income, ensuring that documents are correctly completed and that coding is accurate.
  • Preparing reconciliations and ensuring that the financial ledger is maintained to produce final year end accounts.
  • Applying basic IT skills including the maintenance of computerised records.
  • Ensuring all work complies with financial regulations and departmental instructions, including performing regular audits of both the Finance and Payroll teams.
  • Assisting the Assistant Accountant in ad hoc project work.
  • Completing any other reasonable duties as required from time to time.
