The predicted salary is between 19643 - 29465 £ per year.
The post holder will be part of the DHU Health Care Infection Prevention & Control Team, with specific responsibilities for audit & surveillance and will work in partnership with the Lead Nurse for Quality, Infection, Prevention and Control Practitioner and Health Care Assistants. The post holder will undertake regular audits of our North Derbyshire premises, whilst encouraging the maintenance of high standards of hygiene & cleanliness, as defined by the National Standards of Cleanliness and other national stature.
General Duties:
- Reporting maintenance faults and building fabric issues to the person in charge/responsible for the site, the wider team, health and safety and IPC Lead in accordance with local procedure.
- Report all sightings of pests to the Sites & Services Manager and Health & Safety team in line with the local procedure.
- To ensure the correct use of chemicals for the type of surface required, making certain the handling and usage of such are in line with the COSHH regulations, and training given.
- To comply with all Company policies, procedures and practices and to be responsible for keeping up to date with any changes to these.
- Maintain strict confidentiality in relation to all issues concerned within the service and adhere to the requirements of the Data Protection Act 1984.
- Keeping our patients, the public and ourselves safe and well is part of every role in DHU. To maintain high levels of safety all staff are encouraged to openly report incidents and any risk identified in Datix.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Full driving license - Use of a vehicle.
- Experience of working in a clinical environment.
- Basic knowledge of manual handling.
- Basic knowledge of Infection Control procedures.
- Able to work unsocial hours including evenings/weekends.
- Willingness to undertake training as required.
