We are looking for an enthusiastic, well-motivated individual to join the DHU safeguarding team as a Safeguarding Assistant Practitioner. The postholder will work within both Children's and Adults safeguarding arenas, ensuring that vulnerable children and adults at risk engaging with DHU are identified and safeguarded.

The post includes a variety of activities including:

  • Preparing and delivering training to DHU staff
  • Assisting the Child and Adult Safeguarding leads in meeting the corporate safeguarding responsibilities
  • Undertaking audit, quality assurance, report writing, etc.

They will be required to liaise with Social Care and Child Health Services and other organisations and support staff in DHU with safeguarding issues. The DHU safeguarding team forms part of the overall corporate governance structure and covers all contracts held by DHU, which adds to the interest and variety of the role.

Location: West Midlands NHS111 centre

Contractual Hours: 28 per week

Contract: Part Time
