We are currently looking for a Senior Events Manager to lead our Events Sales team at the Delta Hotels by Marriott Waltham Abbey.

Responsibilities:
- Managing the Events Sales team on a daily basis.
- Leading the execution of activities ensuring that the team delivers a seamless process from initial enquiry to post event.
- Co‑ordinates with all relevant hotel departments to ensure consistent high‑level service throughout the event process.
- Responsible for monitoring the optimisation of the hotel's meeting room inventory.
- Collaborating with revenue and sales to achieve hotel's group and catering budget.
- Contributing to the financial reporting, analysis and forecast activity for events.
- Take an active role in the handling of all incoming enquiries.
- Implement Event Management strategy that is aligned with the brand's business strategy and leads its execution.
- Works closely through pre‑event and post‑event processes with Event Operations to ensure a successful customer journey is achieved every time.
- Handling customer complaints and problems and coordinates with hotel management for resolving these complaints.
- Managing the credit checking process and securing pre‑payments as required for all events.
- Training and developing the Events Sales Team.
Safety and Company Policies:
- Follow all company and safety and security policies and procedures.
- Report maintenance needs, accidents, injuries and unsafe work conditions to the manager.
- Complete safety training and certifications.
- Ensure uniform and personal appearance are clean and professional.
- Maintain confidentiality of proprietary information.
- Communicate with others using clear and professional language.
- Develop and maintain positive working relationships with others.
- Support the team to reach common goals.
- Listen and respond appropriately to the concerns of other employees.
