We are seeking a Senior Events Manager to lead our team on a 6-12 month maternity cover contract at Delta Hotels By Marriott Tudor Park Country Club.
The Role: As Senior Events Manager, you will take ownership of incoming event enquiries from initial conversion through to seamless handover to the operations team, and finally back to sales for post‑event follow‑up. You’ll lead on high‑value and strategically important enquiries — particularly those that are complex, large‑scale, or high‑profile. This includes VIP groups, sporting occasions, awards dinners, and other large‑guest‑number or premium‑revenue opportunities.
You will be responsible for, but not limited to:
- Oversee the full coordination and communication process for each event, ensuring all details are accurately captured and shared with the customer, the Event Executive, and the Sales Executive — both verbally and in writing — right up to the day of event delivery.
- Ensure that all banquet event orders are completed for the hotel operations team; host weekly operations meetings to share information and answer questions.
- Support the marketing communications for conference, meetings & events including weddings & Christmas.
- Share feedback from customers with relevant teams and create action plans to eliminate issues going forward.
- Work with Sales and Revenue Management to agree sales strategies for event space.
- Assist Director of Sales to drive the team with closing days, demand generation weeks and other sales initiatives.
- Identify and communicate revenue and profit opportunities with leadership team.
- Ensure correct use of systems and sales process to maintain booking integrity, consistency & accuracy.
- Implement Event Management strategy.
- Train, develop and coach team members to support the development of the next Senior Event Manager.
- Assist other departments wherever necessary and maintain good working relationships within the whole hotel.
Our Ideal Candidate: Our ideal candidate will have a proven track record in a similar role within a hotel environment. Experience in coaching and developing team members, driving sales and delivering financial results. You will have a warm people-oriented demeanour, a gift for paying attention to the smallest details and a positive outlook and outgoing personality.
Perks you deserve: We’ll support you in and out of the workplace by offering:
- Complimentary Leisure Club Membership
- Discounted Golf Rates
- Tasty and Varied Meals in our Associate Dining Facility
- Discounted Hotel Accommodation Worldwide for you and your Friends & Family
- Access to Benefit Hub for unlimited deals from retailers to restaurants and more
