As a Leisure Club Attendant, you’ll help make sure our members enjoy the best possible Health & Fitness experience. You’ll keep our spaces clean, safe, and running smoothly, supporting the team with day-to-day operations and maintaining the hotel’s high standards.
- Carry out pool testing during your shift and hand over clearly to the next team member.
- Help with general plant room duties to keep everything operating safely.
- Keep store rooms and plant rooms tidy, following all Health & Safety and COSHH guidelines.
- Complete daily and weekly maintenance checks, reporting any issues to the Maintenance team.
- Log defects, follow up on reported jobs, and assist with small fixes when able.
- Maintain high standards of cleanliness throughout the club—including hourly checks.
- Support gym and reception teams during breaks and busy periods.
- Keep the laundry and towel area neat, stocked, and organised.
- Monitor stock levels and report when items are running low.
- Suggest improvements and more efficient ways of working.
- Clean, mop, and check changing rooms hourly.
- Provide friendly, attentive customer service at all times.
Weekly Deep-Clean & Maintenance Tasks
- Wipe down and check lockers.
- Deep clean the poolside area, poolside showers, sauna, and steam room.
- Complete maintenance checks on spin bikes and keep records up to date.
- Clean all poolside windows and water/maintain poolside plants.
- Inspect and repair cardio boxes where possible.
- Jet wash and reset mats and changing room areas.
- Deep clean showers and drainage grids.
- Check, clean, and refill air fresheners and bins.
- Complete weekly stock counts and update the Leisure Manager.
Health, Safety & Compliance
- Ensure full compliance with health and safety legislation, company policies, and pool safety protocols.
- Take responsibility for completing required risk assessments and checklists, ensuring standards are upheld in your absence.
- Respond swiftly and professionally to incidents, member concerns, or guest complaints, reporting any issues to your team leaders.
- Maintain clear and effective communication with team members, management, and other hotel departments to ensure smooth coordination.
- Contribute positively to team meetings and staff development sessions, offering input and suggestions for improvement.
Cash Handling & Admin
- Count and balance floats at the beginning and end of shifts.
- Follow all cash-handling and banking procedures (including blind banking).
- Process payments correctly following accounting policies.
- Transport and secure your bank according to safety procedures.
Working Pattern
- Work flexibly on a scheduled shift rota across Monday – Sunday, including public holidays.
- Be adaptable to cover staffing shortfalls and business priorities to ensure operational continuity.
- Perform other tasks as assigned by management.
