We're now looking for a Class 1 HGV Driver to play a key role ensuring our operations run smoothly and efficiently, delivering goods safely and on time.
A TYPICAL DAY MAY INVOLVE:
- Delivery of aluminium trunking to electrical wholesalers / building sites across the UK - between 2-5 drops per day
- Deliveries are with an FLT so just opening and closing curtains and securing the load is required
- Start times between 04:00-06:00 Monday to Friday - no weekend working
- Driving in a safe and efficient manner in line with Drivers' Hours and Working Time Directive regulations
- Complying with our health and safety standards at all times, ensuring adherence to The Highway Code, road safety rules and vehicle regulations
- Regular completion of vehicle checks
THIS ROLE WOULD SUIT PEOPLE WHO:
- Hold a valid HGV Class 1 Driving Licence (C+E), Driver CPC Qualification and Digital Tachograph Card
- Hours per week will be between 47 - 52 - overtime paid for hours over 45 per week
- Curtain side trailer experience and use of straps to secure a load would be an advantage
- Live locally to site in West Brom B70 0EB
- Ideally have 12 months recent LGV C+E driving experience due to the nature of the delivery points
