Shift patterns: Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week (8:00 am – 5:00 pm Monday to Thursday, 8:00 am – 2:30 pm on Fridays)
Location: HMP Berwyn – LL13 9QS
Note: The role is based within a prison. Successful candidates will need to undergo an enhanced security vetting process.
At DHL, we operate warehouses inside prisons, managing the picking, packing, and distribution of goods ordered by inmates, supporting their rehabilitation and offering them opportunities to purchase basic goods.
Role Overview:
- Leading a team of prisoners in a warehouse environment, while also engaging in picking and packing tasks
- Reconciling stock levels within the warehouse (on-site at the prison)
- Managing the timely and accurate dispatch of orders to inmates
- Meeting and exceeding operational targets
Candidate Requirements:
- Three years of UK address history (mandatory for security clearance)
- Ability to work within a prison environment alongside inmates
- Understanding of warehouse processes (desirable)
- Good communication skills across all levels
- Basic computer literacy
