DHL, an award-winning leading supply chain business is seeking a Transportation Operations Manager to play a vital role coordinating our daily transportation and logistics requirements. To succeed in this role, you should have a comprehensive knowledge of supply chain management practices and a demonstrative understanding of compliance and health and safety procedures.
WHAT DOES THE ROLE ENTAIL?
- Overseeing the Transport Operation, managing the contract and liaising with the customer and warehouse team
- Managing and monitoring Health and Safety processes for both site and driver teams
- Being the point of escalation for operational issues including management and resolution within transport
- Ensure all safety records, compliance and regulations are up to date and in line with company policies and legislation, whilst maintaining excellent health and safety practices
WHAT DO WE NEED FROM YOU?
- Previous and demonstrative experience in a similar management role in a fast moving environment
- Must hold an International Transport Manager CPC qualification
- Good IT literacy using Microsoft Office and ideally experience using Tachomaster, Microlise and Key2
- Analytical and methodical, with the ability to collate and manipulate data
- Excellent stakeholder management skills - both written and verbal communication
- Strong working knowledge of Transport Regulations, Working Time Directive and Drivers Hours
