Senior Finance Analyst

DHL, an award-winning, leading supply chain business, is seeking a Senior Finance Analyst RTR to play a vital role within our Finance function, performing all accounting processes for their respective operation. WHAT DOES THE ROLE ENTAIL?

• Perform accounting processes in scope for a range of sites, customers or functions as directed like month end, reconciliations (i.e. Payroll Recs, Revenue BS Rec, etc.), fixed assets accounting etc.
• Regular engagement with site ops teams, Reporting team, BU FC's and shared services on inputs and outputs for the completion of common processes.
• Build deep business knowledge for the customer/sites in scope to provide support for decision making.
• Effectively maintain period end and year end closing schedules for the customer/sites in scope.
• Adherence to finance processes and accurate, timely report production.
• Participate in process improvement workshops and activity.
• Provide regular updates to the Reporting Manager on process completion, issue resolution and any escalations.
• Deliver the processes in scope to the agreed KPI requirements and support performance management.
• Support change programmes.
• Ensure all standard accounting processes on and off system are followed identifying continuous improvement opportunities to the Reporting Manager.
• Manage individual workflow ensuring agreed deadlines are met.
• Ad hoc tasks as required.
• Any other purchasing or operational admin related activities as required by the Controller or Manager.

WHAT DO WE NEED FROM YOU?

• Knowledge of financial compliance and reporting requirements - strong month end experience essential.
• 2-3 Years experience of performing accounting in a logistics or similar industry would be a preference.
• Experience of using Oracle Cloud would be a preference.
• Effective time management skills.
• Clear, effective communicator with strong stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to work well in a team.
• Strong financial and analytical skills.
• Flexible and resilient.
