Part Time Warehouse Operative - 17 hours per week (Mondays and Wednesdays Only).

MUST have own Transport.

Candidates must be able to provide 3 years UK address history as the role involves working in a prison, so will be required to undergo security vetting.

Pay Rate: £11,704 per annum (£13.23p/h)

Contract Type: Permanent (Part-Time)

Shift patterns: 07:00 - 16:00 Monday and Wednesdays only - 17 hours per week

Location: Holme House Prison, Stockton on Tees - TS18 2QU

PLEASE NOTE: This role is based inside a prison and involves working alongside serving offenders. You will be required to pass enhanced security vetting as part of the recruitment process.

This isn't a standard warehouse role. At DHL Supply Chain, we run warehouse operations inside prisons supporting the HMPPS Canteen Service. This service allows offenders to use their own money to buy approved items such as food, toiletries and everyday essentials - with our teams responsible for picking, packing and distributing these orders within the prison.

A TYPICAL DAY MAY INVOLVE:

  • Working on the prison wing, handing out orders to offenders
  • A very hands-on role with lots of lifting and moving stock (can be heavy at times)
  • Loading and unloading deliveries when they arrive on-site
  • Checking orders are right before they're given out
  • Following prison rules and working to set procedures

THIS ROLE WOULD SUIT PEOPLE WHO:

  • Are comfortable working inside a prison, alongside offenders
  • Able to communicate clearly and deal with people, including in challenging situations
  • Have 3 years UK address history (required for security clearance)
  • Are happy in a physical role — expect regular lifting and moving heavy stock
