Pay Rate: £27,050.72 per year + optional paid overtime

Grade: RCS O

Contract Type: Permanent (Full-Time), 40 hours per week

Shift patterns: Monday to Friday (includes working UK bank holidays).

  • Monday: 07:00-16:45
  • Tuesday to Thursday: 08:00-16:45
  • Friday: 08:00-14:45

Location: HMP Wayland, Norfolk, IP25 6RL

PLEASE NOTE: The role is based within a category C prison. You will be required to undergo an enhanced security vetting process if you are to be successful for this position.

A TYPICAL DAY MAY INVOLVE:

  • Leading on the prison wing, distributing orders accurately and on time to each inmate.
  • Loading and unloading vehicles when orders arrive at the prison.
  • Complying with prison rules and regulations.

THIS ROLE WOULD SUIT PEOPLE WHO:

  • Are comfortable working in a secure prison environment, giving oversight and direction to inmates.
  • Can demonstrate strong integrity, judgement and fairness, especially when making decisions that support safety.
  • Can manage challenging situations with a calm mindset.
  • Good at communicating firmly, fairly and clearly.
  • Have a good understanding of warehouse processes – but we will teach you the whole job!

ESSENTIAL CRITERIA:

  • You must have three recent years of UK address history (mandatory for enhanced security clearance).
  • You must have your own or dependable transport for the shift times as the site is remote.
  • You must have right to work in the UK with no limits now or in the future. We can't offer sponsorship for this opportunity.
