We’re now looking for a Transport First Line Manager to lead our operations and drive success. If you’re a proactive leader with a passion for logistics, we want you on our team!
WHAT YOU'LL DO- Take leadership responsibility for managing a safe and efficient transport environment.
- Maximise the performance of drivers and supervisors by directing the nightly, weekly and monthly activities.
- Analyse and understand health and safety related risks for our colleagues, taking action to reduce or eliminate these risks according to a prioritized plan.
- Implement actions as directed to reduce or eliminate health and safety related risks.
- Leverage Behavioural Based Safety (BBS) program as a daily way to confirm behaviours and processes.
- Report and investigate incidents within the workplace and respond to or escape issues of non-compliance to safety regulations and procedures.
- Implement and supervise the adherence of up-to-date processes, work instructions, standard operating procedures and associated forms to achieve prescribed outputs.
- Continuously contribute to the improvement of procedures to better achieve the prescribed outputs.
- Liaise with suppliers based on business requirements, monitor performance and where necessary, propose improvements to line manager and implement agreed improvement actions.
- Participate in customer, regulatory and internal operational audits as required and work with the team to implement the agreed action plan.
- Conduct regular reviews on operational performance and delivery against the agreed KPIs.
- Escalate any areas of non-compliance or failure to line manager and where applicable escape to the senior team.
- Management of Subcontractor and help implement agreed processes to review performance.
- Lead regular operational performance reviews with colleagues.
