We are now looking for a Warehouse First Line Manager-Nights to plan, coordinate, supervise and report upon the activities of the warehouse team while providing effective communication, leadership, motivation & training to the team.
A TYPICAL DAY MAY INVOLVE:
- Responsible for the safe, legal and efficient execution of warehouse operations during a duty shift to customer SLA's/KPI's
- Control your operational processes (inbound, picking, outbound, etc), fulfilling service levels agreed and deadlines established
- Daily operations, issue management and resolution for the warehouse and with transport
- Management of short & long term absence and disciplinaries in line with policy, ensuring all colleagues comply with the DHL Code of conduct
- Promote employee engagement, including EOS, GPTW surveys and nominations for colleagues to recognize excellence.
THIS ROLE WOULD SUIT PEOPLE WHO:
- 3 years of experience working as a supervisor/manager within the Logistics Industry
- H&S compliance, ensuring and promoting the best H&S Standards, e.g. using safety conversations and Gemba problem-solving processes
- Experience in team management
- Able to work well under pressure
- Good communication skills
- Shows passion, right first time attitude, can-do approach and respect to others
