Position: Warehouse First Line Manager

Location: Milton Keynes (MK4 3FU)

Grade: RCS. N

Shift patterns: Any 5 from 7 (Sunday-Thursday). Evening Shifts - 15:00-23:00

Contract Type: Permanent (Full-Time)

A TYPICAL DAY MAY INVOLVE:

  • To directly assist management by reporting on and monitoring the effectiveness of all warehousing activities and performance in your designated area.
  • To supervise, implement and coordinate productivity by communicating job expectations to direct line reports, ensuring that all deadlines are safely met within allocated time frames, while always maintaining standards of excellence.
  • To track and trace orders using a digital in-house tracking software system, ensuring that records are maintained and kept at optimum level.
  • Deliver team member performance reviews (1-2-1's), development and/or succession planning as appropriate.
  • Support and contribute towards briefing activities such as performance management appraisals, comms zone briefs, PD boards, disciplinaries and grievances, informal / formal conversations.
  • Ensure shift is managed in line with Health & Safety legislation and company procedures.
  • Support with resource planning, conducting interview and inductions for new starters.

THIS ROLE WOULD SUIT PEOPLE WHO:

  • Previous warehouse management experience (First Line Manager/Shift Manager/Team Leader) is essential.
  • Previous experience of Inventory Management disciplines is desirable.
  • Knowledge of Health & Safety requirements.
  • Excellent communication skills - Verbal and written.
  • Knowledge of MHE operations (holding valid MHE licenses would be desirable).
  • Excellent interpersonal, leadership, motivation and planning skills.
  • Good analytical and numerical skills.
  • IT literate - WMS and Microsoft packages.
