We are now looking for a Transport Governance Manager to take ownership of our Operator Licence obligations, ensuring we remain fully compliant, legally protected, and operationally resilient across the UK&I.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Manage statutory notifications required under Operator Licence legislation, ensuring timely submission of changes affecting compliance, good repute, financial standing, and professional competence.
- Coordinate and deliver clear, controlled communication across functions to support consistent compliance knowledge and best-practice sharing across the business.
- Develop, review, and implement transport compliance policies to reduce legal and operational risk and ensure adherence to corporate, legal, and financial standards.
- Liaise directly with governing bodies such as the Traffic Commissioner and DVSA, ensuring accurate submission of regulatory reports, including major incidents, company convictions, and operational changes.
- Safeguard the organisation's Operator Licences by ensuring all UK&I stakeholders are informed of legislation changes and compliance expectations.
WHAT YOU'LL BRING
- Proven experience within Transport Operations or Management. Transport Manager CPC qualification is desirable.
- Strong understanding of UK transport legislation, Operator Licence obligations, and compliance governance.
- Demonstrable experience working to strict deadlines and regulatory timeframes.
- Ability to manage sensitive or complex compliance issues with accuracy, professionalism, and urgency.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to convey critical information clearly across all business levels.
