Job Purpose: To maintain the IRM Employee Benefits Health & Wellbeing Azure data lake and document library, its sophisticated business intelligence Tableau and PowerBI dashboard infrastructure and ensure that data is accurate, congruent and reliable to support IRM EB H&W business objectives and needs as well as further automate data uploads and reinsurance processes increasing overall programme governance and robustness. Contribute to new developments and enhancements of business intelligence, data analysis & analytics infrastructure.
Your tasks:
- Maintain business intelligence, data analysis & analytics infrastructure by managing data ingestion from different sources.
- Address recurring operational issues and ensures application of Business Intelligence (BI) Data Analysis & Analytics applications to enhance business decision making capabilities.
- Further automate and enhance existing data management infrastructure.
- Coordinate, identify and exploit internal and external data sets and conduct respective (management) reporting to gather and validate requirements.
- Assist in implementing policies and procedures regarding collating and analyzing data, develop new data analysis processes and assess analytics on an ongoing basis.
- Under the guidance of the Senior Insurance Data Architect, apply mathematics, statistics, predictive modeling / machine-learning techniques to identify patterns, knowledge in recorded data or develop predictive, real-time model-based insights for accounting and underwriting decision-making purposes.
- Apply best practices for BI, data warehousing, and data governance and provide inputs that affect the functional area of responsibility.
- Under the guidance of the Senior Insurance Data Architect, maintain and contribute to the further development of IRM EB H&Ws data repository/intranet SharePoint consisting of information and materials for DHL Group stakeholders.
- Develops and writes business requirements for the design of solutions.
- Provides support to test teams and resolves issues based on test results.
Your profile:
- Bachelor’s degree in mathematics or computer science or related areas.
- More than 2 years of relevant experience in data analytics or the insurance industry.
- Experience of being part of an international environment.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
- Excellent communication skills/ability to communicate complex ideas to a non-expert audience.
- Eager to learn, curious mind, able to explore and work independently.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Experience with business intelligence platforms (Tableau, PowerBI), SQL and Python programming and cloud platforms (Azure) are preferred.
