We are now looking for a Driving Assessor/Trainer (DDA).
A TYPICAL DAY MAY INVOLVE:
- Deliver Driver training and re-assessments in line with DHL policies, including the SMITH System, covering areas such as fuel economy, defensive driving, tachographs, working time and manual handling.
- Conduct on-road assessments, support Driver recruitment, and maintain an accurate Driver Training Matrix and all associated training documentation.
- Promote a strong Safety-First culture, carry out risk assessments, and support accident/incident investigations to drive corrective actions.
- Provide targeted coaching to improve Driver performance and contribute to continuous improvement across the operation.
- Support classroom training, maintain strong communication with colleagues/managers, and recognise Drivers who demonstrate significant improvement.
THIS ROLE WOULD SUIT PEOPLE WHO:
- Have a Class 1 (C+E) licence with a minimum of 5 years' driving experience.
- Have Driver training experience, ideally within a large-volume transport operation.
- Hold SMITH System certification.
- Possess strong IT and computer skills, with the ability to maintain accurate training records and documentation.
Please note: All shortlisted candidates will be required to complete a drug and alcohol test, as well as a driving assessment that includes trailer coupling and uncoupling.
