Requirements and Responsibilities:
  • Hold a valid HGV Class 1 (C+E) driving licence, Driver CPC Qualification, and Digital Tachograph Card.
  • Duties involve the delivery of alcoholic beverages – previous dray experience is an advantage.
  • Role involves heavy manual handling of kegs and barrels of beer, including deliveries to public house cellars.
  • Shift Monday to Friday, with start times available between 04:00–09:00.
  • Minimum of 6 Saturdays per year.
  • Carry out between 10–17 drops per route, working with a driver’s mate.
  • Be an ambassador for DHL Supply Chain, adopting a can‑do, right‑first‑time and passionate approach to your role.
  • Enjoy working as part of a successful team.
  • Drive safely and efficiently in line with Drivers' Hours and Working Time Directive regulations.
  • Comply with health and safety standards, the Highway Code, road safety rules, and vehicle regulations.
  • Comfortable with manual handling of kegs and barrels to public houses.
  • New LGV passes are welcome; ideal candidates will have at least 6 months of LGV commercial driving experience.
