Role Overview
This role blends regulatory compliance expertise for ISO tank operations with data-driven business analysis. You will ensure all food-grade and cryogenic tank activities meet global standards, while delivering insights that drive process optimisation, cost savings, and revenue growth. The Global ISO Tank product lead will coordinate and manage the Regional ISO Tank Product Team to support their job functions and assist with DHL commercial and operational teams on ISO tank know-how and technical assistance.
Key Responsibilities
- Management of Global ISO Tank 3rd Party Provider Contract management of 3rd Party ISO Tank Services, working with global and regional ISO tank operators.
- Manage and maintain a qualified pool of ISO tank service providers to ensure availability, compliance, and cost-effectiveness.
- Source, evaluate, and onboard new ISO tank providers in line with operational needs and company standards.
- Develop strong working relationships with providers to ensure consistent service quality, timely delivery, and responsiveness.
- Monitor provider performance using KPIs such as turnaround time, equipment condition, safety records, and cost control.
- Negotiate rates and service agreements, ensuring competitive pricing and favorable terms.
- Coordinate with internal teams (logistics, procurement, operations) to align tank supply with project or customer requirements.
- Ensure all providers meet applicable safety, environmental, and regulatory standards.
- Continuously assess market trends and capacity constraints to proactively manage provider availability and risk.
Compliance
- Ensure ISO tank service provider’s compliance to ISO tank Industry and DHL Group policies and standards.
- Manage through agreed standards adopted by DHL DGF (e.g., EFTCO, ITCO, ECD, ISO 22000).
- Ensure that all ISO 3rd Party Iso Tank companies contracted have traceability of all compliance documentation especially cleaning certification.
- Lead internal and external compliance audits: prepare non-conformance reports and drive corrective action plans.
- Monitor market and regulatory developments: recommending policy or procedure updates to maintain best-in-class standards.
Knowledge Documentation Library
- Build and maintain the SharePoint library with documents, SOPs and other information.
- Provide expert operational and technical advice and recommendations.
- Review Safety Data Sheets (SDS) with 3rd Party ISO Tank Operators.
- Partner with operations, safety, quality, and commercial teams to translate analytical findings into process enhancements and KPI targets.
Management of Regional ISO Tank Product lead on following Operational Service Excellence tasks
- Contribute to the identification and implementation of best policies, practices and procedures for effective business processes.
- Provide guidance and know-how to offices to improve decision making and cost control.
- Working with local commercial and operations teams to prepare, highlight and maintain customer Standard Operating Profiles.
- Provide guidance on ISO Tank Know how, Specifications, specific equipment and preparation options.
- Liaison with the operations teams and 3rd party ISO Tank operators to ensure equipment provided is to specific requirements.
- To provide guidance and advice as requested to protect business interests.
Management of Regional ISO Tank Product Lead on following ISO Commercial Activities
- Obtain quotations from 3rd party ISO Tank providers for ILR rates, review, negotiate and deliver to commercial teams.
- Assist in issuing overall costings and quotes with commercial and operational teams.
- Support commercial teams across targeted market segments and trade lanes to achieve targeted market positioning.
- Ensure ISO Tank ILR pricing and quoting strategies are implemented and followed in region.
- Work closely with the DHL Commercial Teams to drive the volume growth of ISO Tanks.
- Constantly review the ISO Tank market in the region and our own business flows.
Specific Additional Global Commercial Activities
- Business case development for resource allocation, equipment investment, and new service offerings.
- Identify trends and develop recommendations for improvements.
- Oversee Regional ISO Team with regard to ILR pricing from 3rd party Iso Tank Operators.
- Assist in issuing costings and quotes for the Global ISO Tank Lead & offices.
- Develop complex, competitive and consistent commercial/pricing proposals.
- Work on sustainability initiatives within the ISO Tank Sector activities.

Experience and Education
- Education Level: Bachelor Degree.
- Relevant certifications in logistics management or technical operations are a plus.
- Experience Level: More than 8 years in global ISO tanks segment.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in technical operations, logistics management or a related field.
HOURS/SHIFT PATTERN: 37.5 Hours per week
REPORTS TO: Global Head of Product and Business Development, Ocean Freight Reefer & Bulk
