DHL, an award-winning leading supply chain business, is seeking a First Line Manager to play a vital role in coordinating our daily logistics requirements. To succeed in this role, you should have comprehensive knowledge of supply chain supervisory practices and a demonstrable understanding of warehouse procedures, including storing goods and dispatching orders.
WHAT DOES THE ROLE ENTAIL?
- Managing a safe operation and role modeling a Safety-First Culture by applying and improving Safety Standards.
- Implementing Behavioral-Based Safety (BBS) program as a daily practice to confirm behaviours and processes.
- Conducting incident investigations within the workplace and ensuring safety regulations and procedures are followed.
- Understanding health and safety risks in your area and taking actions to eliminate or minimize these risks according to an agreed plan.
- Ensuring that Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) and Work Instructions (WI) are up to date and accessible, with employees working according to established standards.
- Acting as the secondary point of contact for the customer regarding site operation matters, building trust and ensuring strong engagement.
- Conducting regular reviews with shift managers on operational performance and KPI delivery.
- Managing daily operations to meet commitments to both customers and internal processes.
